The Grimaldi family has always taken pride and passion in the care of their vineyards. Some are situated near the Groppone winery and wine cellar, and others are distributed throughout the specified production area of the classic Alba wines.
The company makes use of innovative farming techniques, which involve a high density of vines per acre and a corresponding low number of buds per vine. This technique produces a superior quality production; the thinning of clusters and the stripping of leaves during the summer allow the grapes to fully mature. The vineyards are fertilised with organic fertiliser and are partially covered with grass. The cultivation method conforms to EEC regulations to safeguard the environment.

The family company owns 12 separate vineyards, covering a total area of about 35 acres of land. This allows us to produce approximately 300,000 bottles of wine each year.
The vineyards are:
Vigna Sorano, Vigna San Biagio, Vigna Bricco Ambrogio, Vigna Plucotti, Vigna Manzola, Vigna Campè, Vigna Groppone Sorì Montagrillo, Vigna Vecchia Groppone, Vigna Le Coste and Vigna Bricco del Gallo
The grape varieties are:
Nebbiolo, Dolcetto and Barbera for the red wines; Arneis, Chardonnay and Moscato for the white wines.
